By 2015 our world population will have increased from the current 7 billion to an estimated 9.3 billion. In order to feed the global masses, we need to increase our food production by 70% with less land, water, and resources. We need to produce that food in an environmentally friendly system. At this time we do not have the technology to produce that amount of food. Agriculture needs leaders to think outside the box and not be trapped by tradition. We need leaders that can communicate this critical message to others and are not afraid to take a risk. Education is the key.
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandela
